Z-Saber
3D printed with filament and painted with acrylic paint, blade is insulation foam wrapped in fabric.

This project incorporated foam insulation, which is a material I had never used before. It changed around a few times before I settled on the Z-Saber from Mega Man X. I modeled the handle of the saber first, and printed it before using acrylic paints to make the color as accurate as i could. The blade is made of the insulation foam, two half inch boards glued together with expansion foam and screwed together for stability.
