Our last project in Digital Photography was to pick a photographer and emulate their style. I chose Charlotta María Hauksdóttir for her unique layering of physical photographs and her works themed around time and its flow.
Artist statement: The In-between Generation
Think about your childhood, how much of it still exists in your home? Do you still have your first MP3 player or your first game console? How much of your environment has changed? Sometimes, when we see how much has changed, our memories peak through. The in-between generation has had unique experiences. The first generation to really grow up with the modern internet but still experienced the world before smart technology that makes the world so interconnected. Not quite a part of the previous generation, and not quite a part of the next. In between experiences and changes, but wholly unique.
